It is been approved that iPhone has been much more successful than all the Google Android powered phones such as G1, G2 and G3.

A lot of people were expecting the real Google Phone,  Nexus One, and hoped it could change the current situation.

Mobilecrunch has reported a few reviews （ detailed or editors’ person preference) , Sofar we could not find any threaten from Nexus one.

Obviously ,Nexus One has more powerful camera ,processcor and other hardware pieces, but I think most of the people are still believe Google has a long way to catch up.

In general ,Google phones are good , but in terms of the design ( software and hardware ) , they are just too modest, Well, Apple knows how to lead the trends and how to catch up the people’s need,  People want a sleek phone with really catchy design ,no matter outlook or inside.

Simply Apple’s running money machine has the tradtion to understand not only what the cusotmers need but also some things that make people excited.

I keep thinking Linux and Mac when comparing the two phones, they have kind of similiar patterns.  Also one thing I noticed which might be the root of the difference.

Apple designed a phone to change the user’s traditional habits and to achieve this, they first came up with a nice looking  phone （at least UIs) , then they brought thousands of developers to deliver the software to support the phone. The applications are great, why ? simply becasue developers tried hard to brainstorm the best ideas and then convert to applications in order to become a millionare,  They are hoping dream comes true maybe after one night.  The intention of Apple is just get popular and sell and then make more money.

Whereas Google has a different story, Google still wants to emphasize the power of its existing web applications, and attempted to develop a phone for its customers to utilize the applications from new devices.  We all know how Google made the money and ran the business, They tried to give everything free except the real cashcow businesses.  The methodology @ don’t be evil is good for all of the end users, but some of the developers have complained they found less motivated to develop the software for Android market, and we can see much less paid software on the market .

At least ,from the customers perspectitives,  Apple has built up a customer base that most of Apple users have got used to pay for app, buy upgrade? Well , How about Google app users ？  They are very happy with getting everything without spend a peny.

Drop hats to Steven Jobs,  make people pay happily is just so difficult …….

Bascially the idea is the phone can use the power converted from any sugar drink to power source.

This is a client project for designing an eco friendly phone for Nokia. Through out my research, I found that phone battery as a power source, it is expensive, consuming valuable resources on manufacturing, presenting a disposal problem and harmful to the environment.

Personally I thought it is a great thinking but same as some repliers , I also doubt if it is realistic to replace the battery using this technology.

As the main points are :
1. There might generate quite a lot of pollutions  whilst producing any sugar drink. Solar technology would fit in the space much better .

2. Taking liquid is not always a wise idea, on public transportation , especially  it may cause a lot of problems for Anti -Terriorst task.

3. How to inject the battery liquid becomes challenging.  look at the size of the container…

The Google Mobile forums are brimming with unanswered queries and problems, as customers turn to Google itself for support.One recurring issue in the forums is a problem with the phone either not switching to 3G or switching back and forth between 3G and EDGE too frequently.

Also according to Info world , the carrier, manufacturer and vendor have been battling with whose responsibility to provide customer service.

Google appears to be only accepting e-mail customer queries, to which it pledges to reply in one to two days — far too long, say most people who are complaining online.
Many people are also turning to T-Mobile and HTC, but getting little help there. T-Mobile is often referring people back to either Google or HTC for answers to questions. HTC is often referring people back to T-Mobile, according to complaints online.

Well, Google surely has the expertise in technical side, but may be lacking of the experiecing of supporting real mobile users, as the expectation and the user knowledge is completely a different story.

Well, maybe it is a big deal for the Facebook Guy and the Google gal, but what’s the hell all about business?

I would believe it is just a joke , other than the editor was paid off to post this to celebrate . Or maybe forgot the data is not 1st April ,

The deal is much smaller than the $3.9bn eBay paid for Skype in 2005 but larger than the rumoured $50m Google deal to acquire GrandCentral in 2007, which it renamed Google Voice.

Sequoia Capital was the lead investor in Jajah , which raised around $30m in VC funding.

Jajah had an impressive infrastructure for its VOIP service and had been concentrating its efforts more on offering a white-label service for operators and other providers than competing directly with Skype or Google Voice. It took over the running of Yahoo’s VOIP service last year and has also been offering its service to the enterprise market.

Trevor Healy , Jajah chief executive, told us that being bought by Telefónica did not mean the service would confine itself to the operator in future.

“There might be a situation where we will bring our own products to market for Telefónica first, but we have other operator customers around the world and we will continue to provide our service,” he said.

The CEO said rumours that Jajah may have been a Microsoft target were wrong and it had only been talking to Telefónica, where the appeal was the more than 250m subscribers it could now target.

“The driver is Telefónica’s fabulous brand and the O2 brand is also superb. From our perspective, it was how can we get to being a much larger company quicker?”

“Obviously, for Telefónica, their customers are coming and saying to them: I want to make calls on Facebook and Twitter and all these other platforms.”

Jajah will remain in Silicon Valley with Mr Healy at the helm, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Telefonica.

The company was founded in Europe in 2005 by two young Austrians, Daniel Mattes and Roman Scharf, before rebasing itself in the Valley. It has a research and development centre in Israel.

The original service was aimed at consumers who did not want to be tied to a PC to make VOIP calls. It allowed them to type in a number on it website, initiating a call to their own landline phone, which was then connected to the number they wanted.
